I must say that in general I find English razors inferior to German, Spanish, Swedish, and American razors  (I do have some great old English shavers, though)

Well - I didn't say they are not good: some of them shave really great, and many of them look very classy (much better than Solingens, etc.)
However, my general impression is that the other makers I mentioned turn to be better shavers. Of course, there are exceptions, I can only speak from my limited experience.

Joseph Rodgers and sons, cutlers to their majesties.
I've used a couple, and I have one myself. they are the most superb razors I ever used. My preference is for sheffield steel, not solingen steel. Somehow sheffield stel feels smoother on my skin.
Ivo, I can almost disown you over the newspaper  Of my 6 best shavers, 2 are from Sheffield, 2 from the U.S., 1 from Spain and 1 from Solingen.
Lol, Ilija - I hope you love the one I sent you :D
Here are the facts: I have ZERO Sheffields in my top 5 and TWO in my top 20. I did sell one that would have been in my top 5. That's it. I have tried W&Bs, Wostenholms, TEWs, Joseph Rodgers, Frederick Reynolds, Mappin & Webbs, and a number of others...
Cheers
