I have to say taylors Eye Witness the 2 NOS wdges I have are my favorite razors over everything else I have they hone up easily & last a long time before they see the hone again. I have to say if my choice was limited to just these I still would be a happy Man.Paul

I'd have to say my Clements. I love this razor so much and use it so often I haven't even bothered buying any new razors for my collection for over a year now. For me, it's simply nirvana! I'd be happy with this one razor and my meager supply of sharpening tools, home built strop and a bottle of bay rum for the rest of my life.
Now, that I've said that I'm sure that it will all change now...

I'll also vote for Taylor's eye witness.. The best piece in my rotation was made by them.

Marshes & Shepherd for me, followed by George Wostenholm & Sons at the bottom of my favorite list Sheffield makers is the ubiquitous Wade & Butcher. oddly though, i own as many of them as the Marshes and Shepherd.. i used to hope that someday i would find the phenomenal shaver that everyone talks about from W&B... they are very nice and very common.
Be just and fear not.

My W&B is one of the top shavers in the rotation. No complaints with it, but so far I've only tried 3 razors that can compare to the TEW -- Genco Grant and the Chandler custom.

Pics?...
Anyone, got any pics of one of these TEW's?
I knew this was going to happen...been away for a while, minding my own business. Using my fantastic Clements and now look at me...asking for pics because I know I'm going to want one. Oh well, back into the fray...

Thanked: 3Hi everyone, I'm new to straight shaving but would just like to know if I have made a good purchase. I have just bought a vintage Thomas Turner & Sons Sheffield razor. Link is below. Cheers

Thanked: 0No doubt someone with more knowledge on the subject will chime in on this one. For my 2 cents, that looks like a nice blade, definately not in pristine condition but I love the engraving, should be a good shaver too.

i bought my first razors from the invisible edge and am very pleased with them, also i have emailed him many times for advice and he,s always taken the time to reply, so i would say a shave ready vintage as your first razor is a sound buy. also welcome to the site nice to have another man of kent on board
