Thread: Antique finds

I picked this str8 and a really nice unused strop from a an antique store yesterday.From what i have read this is a good good razor,it is the largest razor i have in my small collection .I believe it is a wedge and have read and that these are very hard to hone.will i have to tape the spine in order not to lose to much metal.The scales are bad and need to be replaced the other side is broken.They have diomond shaped pins at the end where the wedge ,,i paid $20.00 so i think i did good,the strop is mint i have some questions on that but i will post in the strop section.thx
