I have an unremarkable plain razor with cheap plastic scales, they are marked inside the scales
with script which I think says GALALITH.

The round tip shoulderless blade is chrome plated except the monkey tail area. The shank is
stamped(poorly) MADE IN GERMANY.Finally the blade is etched with BEST SILVER STEEL(as if)

When first trying to hone the razor it seemed to just glide across the stone,I thought wow,
pretty hard steel, then I realized the chrome plating was influencing the feel. After honing
and stropping I did shave with it but kind of a poor shave .

I thought maybe the edge just wasn't quite there yet and would try again.Today I realize
the blade is actually quite soft, and a file would cut into the unchromed area with ease.

As I only paid 25 bucks for it, I'm not too peeved. Is this a ZEEPK ? I think it's worse
than that though I won't try another shave with it.

Anyone care to chiime in.Thanks in advance.
