The elderly gentlemen (80+) that lives across from us came over this evening to show me a J. A. Henckels that belonged to his dad. Let me back up just a sec, Monday he was going to attempt to put up a section of gutter on his trailer and I simply told him that I was going to do it. So I spent a couple of hours, mostly talking with him and, putting up his gutter. So now, this evening I looked at the Henckels that was truly in remarkable shape. I told him so. I told him that Henckels was a blade that was on my "to get" list. He simply said, "take it, I'll never use it." Wow! I'll put some custom scales on it this weekend, do a little polishing, hone it and treasure it for years.
