Little Boker Story
I hope my story fits in here, thought it's pretty funny.
Just one hour ago I saw a simple but nice looking Boker on the US eBay. I never owned a Boker and thought it would be a nice razor especially because I'm about to learn proper honing. I tried to fetch some Bokers before but I always got outbid, and somehow Bokers are rare on German eBay
Payment was via Paypal.
I have an account, but normally I don't use it very often. Actually it's my Mom's/Dad's account, but I can use it for buying things overseas. I'm a 23 year old student, so having one Paypal account for the family is okay, especial while my parents aren't into that online banking computer stuff
Okay, before bidding I tried to login on the Paypal site to check if everything is okay with the account.
But somehow the password didn't work. I reset the password not to long ago so I was pretty shocked, and I was damn sure I typed in the correct one.
Okay, I went down in our living room to a locker where my Dad keeps some bills and stuff like that. I remember that there was my last Paypal bill (from a Wade & Butcher I bought).
I remember having written down the current Paypal password for my parents on that paper. Unfortunately the bill wasn't there any more.
But I found something interesting. My Grandpa died some years ago, and after he died my Grandma gave his old pocket knive to us. It's pretty small with a wooden handle. He carried it always with him, but I never gave it a close look. I looked at it closely now (don't even know why) and when I saw a small tree on the handle I couldn't keep from laughing.
My Grandpas pocket knive is an old pocket knive produced by Boker
I never knowingly touched a knive or a razor produced Boker. And while bidding on a Boker razor because I finally want one, I find the old Boker pocket knive from my late grandpa
Just wanted to share that with you. Thought it is quite ironic.
By the way, I got outbid by 50 Cent.
But hey, at least I got my BokerLast edited by Antares; 12-16-2008 at 11:19 AM.

Serendipity at work there Antares.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Great story there. Heirlooms like that are priceless. I'm sure you'll hang on to it.
I remember getting my first Boker, not that long ago. I was obsessed with that tree logo. Looking at all Doc's, and other's, Bokers made me drool. You'll be very happy when you get your first (Boker razor).

Really enjoyed reading that. Thanks. You're lucky to have your Grand dad's pocket knife. I hope you got your password straightened out and no one hacked it.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
