Thanked: 84Hi Mark, Kropps are usualy late 19th early 20thC.
Kropp IIRC correctly were based in London but had razors made in Sheffield and Germany often out of Sheffield steel.
Mine is a made and ground in sheffield variant.
They were made in different sizes but nearly always the common old round point hollow ground style.
Box sets were made, black and ivory scaled versions.
Blueprinciple has them in a nearly all sizes, one is a mad 8/8 !

Thanked: 11Marcus,
I've rehoned the 5 straights that i use and incleded the BBW in the regime, definately smooths the shave. Yes, I've seen the Kropp club, thanks. I use a Kropp 5/8 and am currently working on a 6/8, but I need to hone a small chip out of that one, When i'm done i'll post some pictures.
take care,
Mark....

The only info that I could find (at a glance) on the Sprock is that they were made in Germany. The Huveso I didn't see anything on. I'll let you know if digging a little deeper comes up with any decent info for you.

Thanked: 11Eric,
many thanks for the reply. Yep, there doesn't seem to be that much info about on the said razors. I have sort of restored and are using these razors and am curious about their history,9and frustrated with not being able to come up with anything.....!).
Thanks again for your time and trouble,
Mark....
