    Default 1/4 or 1/2....

So, is anyone making 1/4 hollow razors today? Custom makers only perhaps?

I have been thinking lately that I want a 1/4 (or maybe 1/2...probably 1/4) at 13/16, made out of some fancy steel that is a pain in the arse to hone but will hold an edge well, and would only need occasionally touch ups and professional honings. Possible a S30V type steel, but I'm not too picky.

Anyone know of a razor of this type? If not, anyone know of the custom maker whose work this sounds most like? As for scales, I'm not picky, but I would like them to work nicely with the razor's design.

    Thanks!

Most razors advertised as wedges are 1/4 hollow. TI makes wedges. Don't know about dovo.

But if you want fancy, I know robert williams made S30v razors, and makes scales like you want.

Off the top of my head, the TI Super Gnome (new) and the Wapi (NOS) are both fuller grinds. I believe theshavingshop.com also has some fuller grinds (new blades, I believe).

Well, Robert Williams was one of the few I contacted when I wanted to start looking for this type of razor. I guess I was ahead of myself. I have sent an e-mail to start the order process.

You might want to consider a Zowada. His 1/4 and 1/2 hollow damascus razors are excellent in all regards. Not inexpensive by any stretch, but well worth it in my opinion.
