    Default Any information appreciated

So, a friend of mine brought me a belated Birthday gift today... A very nice looking razor.

I have been unable to chase down much information on the maker though. It's stamped with
SCHMIDT & ZIEGLER REMSCHEID on one side of the tang and looks to have the boker tree mark on the other side...Though it's hard to see, as the tang is covered in mother of pearl.

Does anyone know what might be story behind it?

The best that I have been able to find out indicates that the company was purchase by Dovo many years ago and is now considered to be a business unit of Dovo.

Schmidt & Ziegler, Remscheid was a steel company that specialized in knives, scissors, and cosmetic products. It made razors under many names: Kahn, Eszet, Muschel, and others. It may have been purchased by DOVO but I believed it went out of business in the 70s.

    Cobo, please post a photo.
