wapi all ready to use inc strop neil miller strop and honed by the very same man cant wait to use it
Alright, as expected, it arrived today. Here are the actual pictures, especially that someone was referring to hardly visible pins. Well, they're there, as you can see, although really strange, indeed.
The overall build is quite spartan, the blade is moving hard all the way. When you close it, the blade wedges in between the scales, pushing them apart noticeably <edit: it is not the blade, but the part that usually has jimps on its both sides). No jimps here. A pretty hardcore straight :), compared to my grandpa's Kiebitz/Schutze/BroSem (I don't know which one is the notation of the manufacturer). I will post the photos of the latter one later, or even will add it to the database, it seems there weren't any like it when I looked for it recently.
It isn't stamped, nor arrived with any papers or a box, so if you want me to translate the rest of this stuff, you have to provide me with them.
Luckily it is not warped, yet I still don't know if it is a Wapi! However, looking at the pics and comparing them to others gives me the feeling it is a Wapi, but these pins are strange, ain't they?
Matt
 yes the pins are strange i will look up some pics that i have an check them
back soon:gl:
well ive looked all over an im not not sure on the pins the blade looks deffo wapi, all i can think is someone has tried customing the scales:) go on strop it an try it:rock:
Yepp. It definitely looks like a Wapi. Don't worry about the hard closing of the blade, mine is doing exactly the same, dometimes it comes handy, because You don't have to worry, that it closes in the middle of Your pass, when You shave.
P.S.: A question: What size it is? (Mine is a stamped one, a 5/8)
Well, it actually is half way between 4/8 and 5/8, to be exact :) Or if you prefer it this way, it's practically 9/16 :) 14,5 mm, I use metric so had to do some maths :]
It is a Yapi - some ot them had no stamps . but theyre as good as oyhers - i have 2 1 with stamp and 1 withowt . no diference in the shaving . The non stamped is even beter , as i think . Valuable shavers .
