How does one determine the date of manufacture? I just won a bid on an ebay special wade & butcher. The ad said between 1820 and 1840. In the link to manufacture info on this forum there were 2 listings for wade & butcher; 1818-1890, and one that ran into the 1900s. Are the markings on the tang different? I don't guess it matters until the mailman brings it and I can look at it. Either way, I am only out 26 bucks shipping and all; any help would be appreciated.
