yes....:rant::rant::rant:
The last Le Grelot 6/8 is on it's way from Classic Shaving to Norway :D
:boohoo: :cry:
Can't tell you how heart-broken I am right now at hearing this.
I've had one since June (approx) and it's really very good. Thought about getting a second, but...
I do have the option of getting a 3/4. How do they compare? Obviously they're not a wedge, but do they shave a heavy stubble as close as the 1/4?
Keep your eyes open in BST. But be quick!
I happen to have one, but I also have a Dorko 300. It shaves in a very similar way. And it can still be had as NOS. Bit pricey, but very nice.
There is one in the classifieds right now.
Indeed - but I think it is way over-priced, especially if you pay with PayPal using a credit card :rant:
EDIT: Woo-hoo this is my 300th post!!
Yep, exactly why I was asking - to see if anyone has experienced this in practise.
I have both grinds the 1/4 and almost full that Martin sells. My full came from the English razor company who has sold their fulls out last year. Both razors shave equally close and comfortably. The 1/4 is an easier shave which may be a function of its mass. Additionally, the shave with the 1/4 is very quiet. However, you will not be disappointed with the full. Finally, you are correct the one available on the classified was considerably overpriced.
Thanks for your response, CloseShave.
Looks like Classic have some Le Grelots in stock again.
Yes, I love mine. :)
