Thread: New Sharpness Test

Well I had a great shave with My Henckels restored by me. Nice 5/8 spike point with original scales and very little hone ware. You know just a nice razor.

Great shave like I said!! tabac lather Dominica bayrum after you know just a good time.

Well the clean up is where it all went wrong I was wiping down the blade and scales you know when you get a little splash of water in between the scales you wipe it out with a small piece of toilet paper (or at least I do). Well normally I flip the blade around so it's facing away from me but oh no not yesterday morning I was living on the edge blade laid out flat open.
Well as I ran the TP through the scales it hung ever so slightly and so naturally I gave it a little harder tug and ooops!! paper ripped and the pad of my thumb ran oh so hard right down the blade, well not all the way down it was more of a slam into it hard and stop!!!!

Well needless to say this razor is nice and sharp I was very proud of my honing skills as I tried to stop the bleeding.
It took around 2 hours and finally it stopped (I probably should have went and got stitches)
Well the pictures are from tonight and the test was conducted yesterday morning around 8:30 and trust me the pictures do it no justice.
