Modified Gold Dollar

Funny that someone started this thread...

I should be getting mine in today or monday, honed for an extra $10. Will give feedback once I actually shave with it. Seller is Jay Reiter, great communication, but can't say much more at the time. Check it out below, several left:

i do prefer the 5/8 108 to the rest of my GD's tho but only for size

It's a good shaver, I can now say that I recommend the razor and honer.

They do have a smile to them, so you will have to roll when honing, or whatever your method of choice is. Also you may very well have to do some bevel re-setting ti the heel/shoulder area of the blade.

I also have a Gold Monkey that is misaligned at the tang/tail. Doesn't effect shaving or honing, but does cause it to close very close to the edge of the scale. I suppose that's just a little extra "character" that comes with a $12(shipped) razor.

I just checked the prices for Gold Dollars at ruprazor.com.. $45 to $60

The price went up sharply from the previously posted $12 to $20.

How can this happen???

The $12 to $20 is for razors ordered direct from a seller in China. Also, mysteryrazor sells the GD200 for $20 shipped from the US. The ones at ruprazor are inspected, corrected and honed.

Who sells the Gold Dollar razor on here. I would like to get one from someone on here if they still sell them. I have looked in the classifieds and didn't see any there. Mack
