Default Not sure what I got?

I won this razor off the Bay.I was drawn to it because of the blond scales with nice bolsters and ornamentation. The scales have Beau Brummel The popular on them. From what I've read Beau Brummel did make razors, but the blade in this one is a Joseph Allen & Sons Non XLL Sheffield England. The blade has medium size hollow ground etched in to it and looks more like a wedge. This razor also feels extremely heavy to me .My question is what do I have? I like it none the less but just wondering what I've got.If anyone can help or need more pics to help, let me know what you need and will try to get the pics posted. Thanks

Joseph Allen is a reputable Sheffield brand, though they don't get as much attention as other's from Sheffield. His Medium Hollow Ground blade is a nice razor - 5/8 ish and about a quarter hollow. Yours has definitely been rescaled, those are Beau Brummel scales; black bakelite scales were common on Joseph Allen's. That one is also very rusted, and I'm not 100% sure what the edge will look like after you remove the rust. It is a rather meaty grind, so you may be able to make her into a shaver.
