Wedge Razors
I've always bought vintage razors, now I'm thinking I want a new razor. One that's never been owned by anyone but me. Does anyone make a big wedge razor anymore? Not some one off custom, just a big full wedge.

Sorry no one makes a true wedge and hasn't for a very long time. The only way to get one now is buy vintage or get a custom. Be aware that what most people refer to as wedges are really not. They are really part hollow. True wedges are rare beasts and very old.

I got that Wacker wedge and 1/4 ground set from shavingshop. I agree with thebigspender that a wedge should be flat on both faces. The Wacker wedge was definitely not what I think of as a wedge. It is a lot closer to what I think of as a quarter grind. It is an excellent shaver, very heavy and very stiff when compared to my hollow grounds. The steel is very hard and takes a bit of work to hone and polish, but a great razor none the less. Just my two pennies worth to give you a little insight on the Wacker in case you were interested.

I had bought an almost full wedge razor from ebay, what a weight it was!
Did not even attempt to sharpen it as it would take a while. Ford & medley if memory serves me right and it was dated 1800s!
