    Default Old Swedish Straight Razor

    Found an a local estate auction, in a box with a note "Grandpa's razor"........its market on the blade "OLE BRO BOSTON 1883". Could this razor have been made in 1883, or earlier? Thanks

    That may say Orebro, which is a Swedish city. That IS a swedish razor and most likely from that time period.

    That is Orebro for sure. Can you tell what does read above that. This is Erik Anton Berg razor. Very nice piece.

    I don't think so. The razor was made more later. In 1883 was exibition in Boston and the company was award-winning.
    Erik Anton Berg, 1879 - 1959. Etched on the spine: "PRISBELONT i MALMO 1881, ÖREBRO och BOSTON 1883".

    That's Erik Anton Berg from Eskiltuna. AFAIK "Prisbelönt" means it won some kind of award. Probably in Malmö and Örebro (towns in Sweden) and Boston (probably US). Very nice looking frameback.
