    Default Friedrich Baurmann & Sohn

Within the last year or so I have acquired a Friedrich Baurmann & Sohn "COMFORT 100" razor made in Solingen, Germany. I showed it to my barber who is a 73 year old Venezuelan who shaves daily with a Filarmonica He told me that my Comfort 100 will be a great shaver and he was right.

It has a very slight smile which I think only adds to its shavability. You have many razors which fall into the average category and some that fall into the above average category. This razor falls into the above average list for sure. If you find one, buy it.

I include a photo for your enjoyment. I think I bought it from Sham so I did not do the initial honing but I have finished the edge with cerium oxide and plain bridle leather flatbed strop. It shaves like a dream just as my barber said it would.
