    Default Help with Razor ID

Hey All, I recently picked up a razor off D'Bay and wondered if anybody had any ideas about it. My questions, in case anyone has the answers, are: 1) Have you heard of this blade before and is it any good? 2) Is this the right blade for this box? 3) How old is it, if you had to guess? 4) And what would you recommend I do as far as restoring it? (I know that's a lot of questions, so please forgive me in advance.)
Anyway, the box says "Basoio Inglese" and then "Davide Toffoli, Rapressentante Venezia Sn Marco Piazzetta Del Leoni 353."
My Italian is still good enough to know essentially that the box says this is a Venetian blade -- which was what made me interested in it in the first place. Of course I also recognize that this blade (which has no markings) may not be what originally came with this box. Either way, I didn't pay too much for the razor so if this isn't what I actually got, I won't be devastated. Anyway, I'll post some pics of the blade below.
And, again, thanks in advance for your help with any of the above questions. You all are a very congenial bunch, I must say, and I'm happy to have stumbled upon this site several months ago.
    All the best,
    G

Without a tang stamp it will be hard , if not impossible to know anything about the maker of the razor . You really can't go by what is written on the box . Razors are often found in the wrong box .
Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was just hoping maybe by its unique shape people may have seen one like it before.

On the 25 cent pix there is a dent that might be a tang stamp.
Try some magic marker then gently rub the surface and see
if a makers mark surfaces with the extra contrast that the marker
    gives. Nothing abrasive.....
