    Default Dubl ducks

I'm curious about dubl ducks and how they shave I'm wanting to purchase one but I just wanna know the facts about them. And how they shave and do they hone easily and so on and so fourth. And what's the difference between a satin edge and a golden edge and what ever else kind of edges they have.

Imo the DD's are great razors I have a few of them and they give great shaves and do lay flat on the hones making honing a little easier. That being said I have many other razors that shave just as well and are not as expensive as the DD brand. My advice is to watch and wait till you can get the best deal you can. DD's come up on the bay every day so don't rush just because you want one.

"I have a few of them..."

Understatement of the year! He's got over a hundred of them...and the 2 I've bought from him shave like a dream. Make sure to have a few in your stable, you'll love them.

I had a Satin Edge and a Special #1. They were both incredibly easy to hone, the shaves were great, and they just feel like quality. It's hard to describe. Very good razors IMHO.

I have 2 wonderedges and a goldedge, I haven't used the goldedge yet but the wonderedges are my favorite razors. super sharp and smooth. i always have glenn hone my razors so i can't attest to how they hone but if you find one that needs some cleaning or restoration send them to glenn. from what i hear their scales are very finicky and delicate - in fact the only gripe i've heard about dd's are the scales

If I had to pick only 1 word to describe Dubl Duck razors it would be "Consistent"

Unless the razor is damaged it should hone easily and shave comfortably

Here is a great thread with tons of pics http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ffy-ducks.html

I have two in my collection, a Satinedge and a Wonderedge (or, if you prefer, a low end and high end). Are they my best razors? No. Are they among my best razors? Most definitely. Are they worth it? That's up for you to decide, but IMO they are absolutely worth owning.

As they others have said, have patience and wait for a deal....
