I think this hits home. Those of us who prefer stiffer grinds have some in the rotation which are more concave and "rattle" as they cut hairs. An audible noise! I am sure the "Rattler" moniker has been hijacked throughout razor history as a selling point, like "hollow ground", etc. I think it is in reference to the early concave razors versus the old time wedge grinds to point out the "newness" or "modernity" of a blade in order to sell! As long as the "rattle" disappears on the 3rd pass, you have a fine shave! ;) JMHO...get it on....Tom
