I've had this razor for some time and I don't think I ever posted any pics of it. It's a Twin Duck, Bresnick NY...I don't think I've ever heard mention of it.

I'm way too new to be an authoritative source of knowledge, but that looks remarkably like my Dubl Duck Special 1. The DD Special was my first straight and it is a remarkably good shaver!
Yours looks very nice. Great find!
OK, a question for the experts...
Was this Twin Duck a variant made by Dubl Duck or was this some other company taking blatant advantage of the brand recognition?
It's a special #1 which is just about the oldest line designed for professional use DD made throughout their history and the most plentiful of all the models.
As far a the Twinduck goes before Mr Bresnick decided to call his razors by the DD name he went through some name transitions and Twin Duck was one of them.
Nice! I'll bet it's a sweet shaver...! :)
What's the hone in the background btw? It looks like an asagi?
Officially it's the only transitional name he used however practically speaking there's the single duck and the half duck and the no duck and the rooster duck but of course none of these were "ducks" since he wasn't using that name then but they either had one or two ducks on either the scales or the razor. However the twin duck is the first instance where there were two ducks on the scales and two on the razor. Directly after that he started using the Duble Duck name. Dylan has the rooster duck a few posts up in the ugly duck thread. That model has a rooster and is marked lifetime and is totally blued and there is no mention of where it is made or at least the one I have which is earlier and in better condition doesn't. I may have a pic in the razor clubs "daffy ducks" thread.
I just lost a bid for a Duck with transparent scales. Too bad, I really wanted one.
I have a razor that is identical in all ways except instead of it reading double duck it reads terminal special. it also has blued tang. it appears that several names were used for the same razor by the same manufacturer.

Hi Rich,
Very nice razor. :tu. Gorgeous!!
Sorry about the naive questions, but:
1. Was it common to call the Dubl Ducks, Twin Ducks?
2. Are they one and the same, with pre-dating the other?
PS: I just read thebigspendur's post and I think he answered these question
