Just got these this morning from eBay bids. Henckels 415 and Engels Special. Kind of disappointed of the Henckels toe. Would've preferred a nice big spike. The eBay pics on this one were not that great. Considering I only paid about $15 for the Engels I'll learn to live with it. Think they both will be good useable shavers although probably not my fav's. We will see after I clean them up. This will be my first Henckels shave. Hope it goes well.
that henckels toe looks like it's been altered, so if may well have been a spike once. probably shaves great though.
Thanks for sharing. Recycling is always a good thing.

I know very skilled shavers who are good with the spike, but I think it's totally unncecessary. A little gentling of that point will reduce that danger.
