RAZOR FUNCTION HELP!
What in tarnation is this??
Anyone know what the purpose of the extra metal around the blade is for? Strangely there's a dangerous appeal to this razor that lures me.

It's an early safety razor,The extra metal is a guard that was supposed to help keep the blade at the correct angle and keep you from cutting yourself. Nice find!
