Thread: Rotation! What? When? Where? Why?how?

Just wondering how you guys set up your rotation. I dont have one. Basically im trying new ones as they unexpectedly show up at my door. Or i go back to a trusted one. How many in the rotation? Why you chose them? How often do you change the rotation?

My rotation consists of taking whatever I fancy that morning. Sometimes I rotate according to the blade's country of origin but that's about it.

No rhyme or reason. Every time I set up a rotation scheme I always change it after a time.

I reckon I must have ADD as I rarely shave with the same razor 2 days in a row. As new razors come in the post, they either get used pretty quickly and then go in the rotation selection or if they need honing, they go in the honing pile until I get around to them.

Ditto. It just kind of happens. I try not to use a razor again until I've used all my others first, unless I'm specifically limiting myself to one razor to learn the curves.

That's black and white for me! I have a black one and a white one and I just use the one that I didn't use the day before. If I forget which one I used the day before then that's a black day for me!

I tend to do exactly the same thing, although I sent off 2 razors last week for honing, I have tried 1 since getting them back

3/4s of my razors are ready for use and used in no special order. the others are just waiting for me to get off my ass and hone or restore them. still having fun rules just get in the way. enjoy.

I just pick whichever razor I want to use that day. It works out fairly well as I find that I want to use a razor I havent used for a while, so I tend to rotate pretty evenly!
