Need help with identifying maker please

I got this razor a while back in an ebay lot and I've now worked my way down to this little rascal. Thinking to put some wooden scales on it and hone it up, but I'd sure like to identify it. I can't make my mind up what it says.




Anyone know this maker and it's origin? Either way, thanks for looking

To my eye it the stamping is "E.Alberts".

But I'm afraid that this doesn't tell us anything further about the maker or where he was located.

NIce enough blade for the rest.

Yes, that might be what it says. Or maybe E.Alberto, or even E.Alherte.
I tried to google all of the above but could not find any leads. And these days, it I cannot find it on google I stop to ask myself if it really even exists

Not in Goin's. Could be that Albert(s)? was the importer or vendor name, not the manufacturer?

possible perhaps, but doubtful - there are no other stamps at all anywhere on the blade. If that is the case, that the maker did not even bother to identify his work, I fear the quality of the steel probably would be very poor. I intend to scale it and hone it up, we shall see how it shaves.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Older blades had less markings than their younger cousins. I have quite a few with little or no markings that shave every bit as good as some of the big names. Get her honed and take it for a spin. I'll bet you will be pleasantly surprised.
