Beautiful scales, but need ID

My girlfriend got me this razor with beautiful scales. But the seller couldn't tell much about it. So do you guys know something about this razor. It is stamped "GARANTIE SOLINGEN" on the tang on the front and "22" on the back of the tang.

The picture on the blade looks like an anvil with an arm above it. The goldleaf is also marked "SOLINGEN".

So can you tell me something about this razor like:
1. Is the razor original to the scales?
2. Is the paint original?
3. When was it made?
4. Which company made it?
5. Is the rust fixable without damaging the gold(more pics can follow)?

I found about the same scales in this thread, but it looks like the red imp razor was scaled in these scales.

1. Can't see anything obvious to suggest it isn't.
2. Looks so to me.
3. I'd say, pre-war.
4. Don't know. Could look here, I had a very quick one but find the small pics on that page a bit tiresome, sorry.
5. I'd say no, but wait on the verdicts from the restoration gurus.

Those scales could appeal to scales collectors, who tend not to worry too much about things like blade condition.

If there is no makers mark on the other side of the razor then it's just going to be a generic, unbranded Solingen blade.

Generic Solingen blades can be just as good as any others out there. I had an no name one that was a great shaver until I passed it along to a friend to get them started.

Yes, they can be great blades.

I think it´s a brand "Garantie", both made in Germany and France. I´ve had a couple, one is in my rotation (great shaver, no looker though).
