Default Straight Razor Townsend Cutlery Co

Straight Razor Townsend Cutlery Co. 9/16

Does anybody know anything about this straight razor?
I bought it on ebay and I was wondering if anybody knew anything about it.

    Thank you in advance.

Good luck, sometimes these can be almost impossible to track down. Hopefully someone can help you out. Don't worry, I'll bet it will be a good shaver.

Cutlery manufacturer & importer in Lansing, Michigan. Circa 1904.

    Bradstreet's, (before there was a Dunn & Bradstreet's), estimated their worth at 3,000 to 5,000 dollars- (approximately $70,000 - $100,000 currently).

Although an extremely small company, Bradstreet awarded them the highest credit rating available for a company their size.

So, although that doesn't give you any clue about the razors themselves, one could reasonably assume the company put out a quality product; given the rating they received.

You're welcome. I should also say that those photos are indicative of one particular eBay seller's shooting style and he's one of the few on my saved sellers list. So, congrats on a nice purchase! Let us know how you like the shaves.
