My grandfather, a barber, who passed away in 1976 gave straight razor shaves in the shop he shared with his brother. In a recent conversation about his razors with my parents I described my favorite razor he owned and they couldn't believe I was accurate since I did not have access to my grandfather's footlocker for the past 30 years. The first razor they pulled out the scales crumbed to the touch, the next one had clear amber scales but the blade was completely gone, and I feared the C-Mon would not be the work of art I remembered. It was being stored in a cardboard Temperite box and was PERFECT! Due to the horrible condition of the other 2 razors and my description being spot on for the C-Mon they gave me the razor for safe keeping. I have tried to find information on the web, but not the answers I seek. First off what should I do to keep it looking brand new (displayed not used)? Secondly is it possible to date it? Any and all information will be greatly apreciated.
