Having one of my Great grand fathers and my grandfathers razors, both shave ready :) , I'd have to go with a Takeda Livi, I've wanted on from the first time I heard that Takeda made the steel. I have a couple of Takeda kitchen knives and to have a straight razor also from him :)
I would have to go for any razor owned and used by my ancestors. I can't ask them as they (the men) are all dead and the rest are too young to have known or the one lady old enough has lost her marbles with alzhiemers.
So with being deprived of that source of knowledge, I would love to trial a Bengall 8/8 in near perfect original condition with the option to own it after the trial period.
I think I have a love of Bengall...I think I feel a brand specific RAD coming on.

My dream is to compare a range of grinds all made from the same steel, like a series of nine or ten Henckels. Then I'd like to pick a size and grind and compare it across manufacturers.
Of course, I'd also like to be a Vizsla rancher. We can't have everything.
i'd love to try one of the wootz razors joec made some time ago, but i doubt that'll ever happen. i should've bought one of them when i could.
I do not know, there are so many beautiful razors. I simply can not choose.
If my grandfather had a str8, I would definitely try.
Such Japanese razor seems to me a bit.
I really do not know, so many choices
i would like to try one razor from every old sheffeild maker
Whoa - I've got a long list! Right now I think I'd like to try out one of Glenn's microtome conversions, to find out whether it would be worth my while to try something similar with mine. Scary prospect ...
