Thread: Razor Karma

Our daughter is getting married this summer and a bunch of nieces are close behind. The women of the family have decided to have a tea party for each of the girls before they get married. As a result the women are all collecting antique tea cups. A couple of Sunday's ago my wife asked me to go with her to an antique mall. I politely declined. She said she really wanted me to go with her and bribed me with breakfast at one of my favorite places. So I went. I am sure you all know where this is going. We looked at some tea cups and I was a very good sport. I even got into it and found a keeper myself. At this point my wife bursts out laughing and says let me show you why I really wanted you to come with me. I saw some old razors here and a couple looked pretty good but for all I know they are worthless. They were a 6/8 W&B wedge and a hollow ground that was a full inch. The wedge was $20 because the scales were shot and the big hollow ground was $18 because there were some chips in the edge. I grabbed them both, honed out the chips, cleaned them up a bit and had Bob Keyes polish them up and give them some new horn scales. They got back tonight. I apologize for the poor indoor, nighttime photos. If they shave like all of my other W&B's I am going to be delighted.
