Thanked: 0Looking for a razor
Hi all
I would like to know what would be a better start a DE or a straight razor. I plan to start with just my legs. Can I use my regular shaving cream or should I look for something else.

You really can start with either it's a personal choice. Both have their good points. Safety razors have a shorter learning curve and you can use it with your current shave cream but getting a brush and cream/soap will make it even better. Plus you can do your underarms and other areas without any issues.
Straights you would need a razor, strop, brush and soap/cream to start out properly with. It's really how much you have/want to invest to get started

CarrieM advised me back at Christmas as I got 4 Lady Gillettes for my gals. I got a Pile of Israeli Personna blades and have 3 of them using them very happily with their old shaving foam in the can! Now I would like to see them with a brush and soap. I know the shave would be better! Any particular soap that would be good for the ladies? Good Luck!

I rest my case.

Pretty much anything can be used. TOBS, Gentleman's quarter (not sure if Colleen is back up to speed after her move). They can use the same stuff you do, but in a more "girly" scent lol. A lot of the girls like sandalwood also.
