I'm kinda curious about the DD names. Is there a difference in the steel or quality of shave between the wonderedge, satinedge and goldenedge?
Thanks for the information.

Also the grind on the WE is pretty darn thin so it is very flexible...
So you are saying then that the Wonderedge has the edge, no pun intended, over the satinedge or the goldenedge as far as shave quality goes in the DD lineup?
My Wonderedge causes me to bleed more than my Goldedge.:gth
Nope, you asked for the difference, everything else is subjective to the person holding the razor :) I know that was a copout answer but it is true
They all shave very very well, but the real strength in the DD lineup is that they are the most consistent brand of razor I have run into... If you have an undamaged, DD that hasn't been abused it will hone easy as pie, and be a great shaver....
If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then you have a duck.
You won't be disapointed...

Do you happen to know if the Dubl Duck tempering process similar to that of Hess? I think I remember reading a description similar to the one on this box in reference to Hess - their frozen temper steel razors. pardon if my terminology isn't correct or if I'm mistaken here
I don't know any of that for sure...
IIRC though the Hess Frozen tempers were done on the Stainless Steel #44 so that would be a difference there as the WE is Carbon steel but I don't know enough about the process nowadays let alone back then...
Edit yep IRC hehehe it was the #44

Oh man that's nice! Good for you!
You might want to take a walk through the Daffy Ducks Razor club as there are many many more DD names out there...
The WE and the Stainless were some of the last made, so some consider them to be top of the heap when looking at DD's but again I have never met a DD in good shape that hasn't been a superb performer...
