You gave a very short, exact and good discription of eBay itself. Really, there are some good things, but there is also plenty of garbage.

And why go diving in garbage? Why support scammy jerks with your money?
Slur, I don't think these are bad razors, but be careful who you buy from is all I'm saying.
I think we dive for good things, but come up to the surface in garbage.
Many thanks, to all of you. The answers were really very helpful to me.
I will think about buying it, I am not sure at the moment.
Nobody said that this is a bad razor; however, no one can be sure if this is indeed a fine razor.
Six people bought this razor is said on ebay website.
If only one of them could write a review on SRP, all my questions would be answered.
Unfortunately, ebay does not provide the nicknames of these six buyers. It could be very helpful if I could send an email asking them about their opinion on this particular razor.
It seems he is almost sold out. Currently up to 9 sold out of 10. I am looking for a 2nd Japanese razor but not sure what to get. I currently have the Iwasaki #2 but cringe on spending another $475. Anyone with more experience with Japanese razors have any suggestions? I'm not very familiar with the different smiths other than Touskue and Iwasaki. My biggest concern is the #2 Iwasaki is the largest I have seen and works exceptionally well for me. I would love to buy a Iwasaki Tamahagane but everyone is sold out except for Japannippon that wants $4200. Any help would be much appreciated.
I'm not necessarily looking for a Tamahgane Iwasaki. 2 websites actually had some recently. Rasurpur had one and it was almost $900 made with vintage Iwasaki Tamahagane. I was looking for something that would perform just as well as my #2 Swedish Iwasaki but without the $475 price tag. I see smaller versions around 6" of Tamahagane on ebay for around $375 or so. Any suggestions?
I think you need to find a reputable maker that knows his steel and can heat treat properly. A well heat treated steel like white 2 will be able to sharpen very easy take very keen edge (it is the purest of carbon steels by composition I believe), and hold it for a reasonably long time.
