Thanked: 2can i please get some expert advise on this shaving set.
I saw this the other day and really really like the simple wood scaled. I think the kit looks cool too with a wooden cup and wooden brush with the wooden scales. Can anyone tell me with the razor in the picture is worth the $109 price tag? I can't see what the make on the razor is.

The strop looks like an Illinois, which is good, but I suspect the rest is crap.
You would be much better off with a SRD kit for sure!

Thanked: 2o...that really made my day
thank you so so much for trying to be helpful! But I have a $119 Boker King Cutter that has a nickel infused blade for better and longer lasting cutting performance along with a 3' Big Daddy strop. I'm more than good to go and am on my 5th shave, love it! Anyway, I really like the way this set looks and I wanted to know if anyone knows if it is worth buying for gifting or even keeping. Sorry if there are any miss-spelling, I'm on my HTC Thunderbolt Droid.
I also realize the wood in this set would need to be coated first or the wood would crack, so no point in pointing that out.

Skip it. It's not worth the money--either for personal use or as a gift.

Personally, I wouldn't buy any razor off of Amazon. If they don't give the name of the manufacturer, they are most likely horribly inferior razors.

Thanked: 1195I agree, without seeing any razor brand listed I wouldn't chance it. $110 is still $110.
Just my 2 cents....
