    Default Old chipped razor - seeking info

    I'm a new user and had some questions i figured maybe you could help, I was diggin through some old boxes and i came across this old razor. Im having a hard time finding out what it is and who made it. I think it was my grandfathers. I cant find much info on it.

    It says e&co Vienna made in Germany

    Cant help much with the make but the scales are translucent horn. Does not look like there is much hone ware but the chip is bad. You could have the blade cut down to remove the chip, clean it up and have it honed and save with it. You would not want to try honing and using it as is. That chip would dig in and give you a nasty cut.

    Default Broken point fix.....

    This is how I took care of a similar problem by shortening an OTTO DEUTSCH'S "HANS" razor.

    Shaving with a shortened blade is an interesting experience.
