Default Where can I find out what my razors are worth?

I have found a new hobby in restoring and sharpening old razors, and I really don't need so many razors. How can I find out what they're worth in order to sell them?

Put them up for auction on Ebay and see how much they go for - that's how much they're worth.

That's a fact. This is a forum about straight razor shaving not selling. Start them in the classifieds for $5.00 and see if they go. I'll be watching for your work.

After looking at the rules of the classifieds, i will be restricted to ebay until i have been a member for 3 months and have a 100 posts. Then i'll start listing them on here.

To clarify, I pointed you to Ebay because of something my dad always told us: "Something is only worth as much as someone else is willing to pay for it." So if you want to find out how valuable something is, ask the person who's willing to buy it for the highest price.

If you do a search on ebay, in the straight razor category, for specific brands, you may find some matches. In the menu on page left is 'completed items'. That is a function I use quite a bit when searching for market prices on one item or another.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That's what I'd be doing. Also make sure you look at the ones that have actually sold, not what someone has listed them for. Quite often they are very very different.

Be advised that we ask members to participate with useful posts or threads instead of trying to inflate their post count with numerous meaningles one or two word sentences like great, beautiful, love it, excellent...
