Here is m Gaines razor. When we found this at a local shop I was going to walk away from it due to it's condition. CarrieM though it would be a good project razor for me and she was right. Thank you Honey. I am very pleased with the shaves I get off this razor once I get comfortable holding it again.
I'm starting to experiment with more advanced honing on naturals. I'm going to buy a bunch of cheap, old razors on eBay this month to practice on. I'm thinking I'll start a thread something along the lines of, Carazor's Great Shaving Razors Under $30....I'm really curious to see what I'll find and uncover. I may just donate some of my finds to newbies!
I picked up this razor recently - Alcosa #415 Prima Solingen. It has a 13/16” satin finish Sheffield blade. It shaves really nice, but it is a bit wide for me.

If I tell you, it wont be off the radar any more
IMO, in comparison to how most of the big name brands are hyped, everything else is underrated.
Ha !!!! You might have fooled some of these guys with this trick question, but I ain't falling for it.. You just want to try and outbid me don't cha????
:roflmao :roflmao
Yes, you have to wake up quite early in the morning to catch us old hands out with such an obvious ploy. However, I would have to say that in terms of stupendously underrated razors, you cannot go past the humble Bengall. They are awesome shavers. And, given I have so many of them, it would please me no end if you guys would start bidding up their price on the global market. I'm looking at retirement in 30 years, and I'm pretty sure the Bengalls are going to bring me a better payout than the stock market!! lol.
