3 Dollar Razor, Garland Cutlery
I recently aquired a straight razor called a "$3.00 Razor" it has three Silver Dollars on the Face and it is made my Garland Cutlery Co Germany. The scales are shot, and the blade needs some work....lucky me
I cannot seem to find anything about these razors...any help would be good.

Wow, Tim. You sure have your work cut out for you with this one. Right now that "$3.00 razor" looks like it might be overpriced.
Good luck in reviving it and making it shave again. The Garland Cutlery Company, according to Goins' Encyclopedia, was in business in Germany from about 1913 to around 1940.

Thanked: 443Looks like a good candidate for a week in a tumbler--that'd clean it up with minimal damage to the etching. Good looking blade. Are those waves in the same plane as the blade? I hope so. If you breadknife it, be sure to tape the spine while you reset the bevel. I've done more harm than good to blades like that, 'cause I didn't tape.
