That is ollllllld I think 1850 to 1860? ! The Swiss invented the frameback, I am guessing, and the Brits were keen! Awesome shavers too!
I will agree with Sharpton. Get that beauty cleaned and honed, framebacks are awesome shavers.
So...you are the little %$%##@
Should be a very fine razor...needs cleaned up a bit.
Thank you guys. I am looking forward to getting it and putting it back on the duty it was made for. This will be my first frame back. Shooter I have been looking for a frame back and this one fit my budget if I decide to let it go I will send you a message and give you first shot at it.
This is only the second Sheffield frameback I have seen, and the first was two weeks ago. Is this something like a cicada emergence?
A couple of Wostenholm framebacks:

Wow, that's 4 now! What do their larvae feed on between emergences?
Cody,
If properly honed, that razor should be a great shaver...period. Only thing is if you decide that you like them or not. They do feel different and are quite often a bit heavier than a normal hollow ground razor. It's usually one way or the other. There is a reason they didn't stay around long...but I like them. I have been known to be a bit different anyways...
