That is ollllllld I think 1850 to 1860? ! The Swiss invented the frameback, I am guessing, and the Brits were keen! Awesome shavers too!

I rest my case.

I will agree with Sharpton. Get that beauty cleaned and honed, framebacks are awesome shavers.

Thanked: 443This is only the second Sheffield frameback I have seen, and the first was two weeks ago. Is this something like a cicada emergence?

Thanked: 1936Cody,
If properly honed, that razor should be a great shaver...period. Only thing is if you decide that you like them or not. They do feel different and are quite often a bit heavier than a normal hollow ground razor. It's usually one way or the other. There is a reason they didn't stay around long...but I like them. I have been known to be a bit different anyways...Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
