Default A Review of the 4/8 "Rogue" Flaschner

I finally honed and shaved with my new 4/8 Stainless Flaschner, a gift from RogueRazor. It's a French Point, 1/4 hollow, with about a 3" blade. For a small razor, this one is very easy to hold, which makes honing, stroping, and ultimately shaving much more enjoyable. The jimps are very well done on this one.

This little guy is a MONSTER shaver! I had a 2 day growth and it cut like butter. Leaving a BBS shave, no irritation, perfect! Like any 1/4 hollow it cuts very silently, but efficiently.

I put the final edge on it with my Nakayama Asagi starting with 50 passes with slurry, 50 passes slurry diluted, and 50 passes with water only. Followed by 50 laps on the English Bridle IV. The blade is super sharp yet really smooth on the face.

This razor now has a nickname "Rogue."
