Need some help identifying a Gillette Set

I've bought this set a couple of days ago and I've been googling ever since but I can't find bupkis about it. It looks like a pretty neat set so I was wondering if someone could tell me if it's a rare set, the year of production, what it's worth, the actual name of it things like that...

Check underneath the head of the razor. There should be a letter and a number. Post that up here and we can most likely tell you a date.

Allright thanks, just checked it says "BRIT PAT NO 400,621" Made in England and a Gillette Logo...

I believe you have a British Gillette Aristocrat. The British Gillettes do not have a date code but because of the open comb guard I would suspect it is a 1930s piece. Looks to be a rhodium plated deluxe set. Great shavers BTW. We don't do appraisals on SRP so value is not something you can find out here.

1920 Gillette bull dog set.
There was a 1918 military set that had the same razor. So year would be 1918/20 ish. You can find it on sites under Gillette bull dog.

Bull dog was a 3 piece, not a twist to open .... A.K.A. TTO

That's indeed the same razor, I also found this old ad on the website.. It looks exactly the same...

Yeah, back when I was really into them I had one but not a full set like yours, just the razor. IIRC it is a model 15 ? Anyway ..... it was a great shaver. I still have the USA counterpart, also an open comb TTO, but gold plated. Also a nice shaver made in 1934. The British Aristocrats, model 16 and I can't recall the later ones model #, were all killer shavers. The Brits did rhodium plating on theirs which is beautiful and durable. In the USA they did gold plating on Aristocrats. The late '40s to early '50s USA Aristocrats are also great shavers. Very like a red tip super speed in their aggressiveness .... AFAIC. I still have a couple even though I never use them. Things change so I'm hanging onto them.
