Thanked: 6Antique shop find , from right here in Plattsburgh, NY.
I bought a straight razor at a local antique shop today for $25.00. I bought it mostly because the tang had the name of "PLATTSBURGH" on it, with "JWT & CO". above it. On the other side of the tang is a trademark: a musket with sling . Anyone heard of this company? Was it ordered from elsewhere, and sold locally under their own name? Its in decent shape, with a square point and what looks like black Bakelite scales. I've found nothing on local Historical websites. Any info would be appreciated.

Sounds like a rebranded razor made elsewhere and branded for local retail sale.
Yep, pics would be nice.It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
