I'm a bit biased as I collect DDs. But having both in the rotation I still say DD.

Thanked: 13249The only W&B that I know of that is even sorta comparable to the hollow grind DD's is the double hollow *Special*
It is a good shaver but IMHO not quite as good as the DD's
I can't even begin to compare the Heavier W&B grinds to DD's basically apples and oranges

It depends on which model. If I could get a bigger size inclined nose or square point DD, I might take that, but if we're talking a 9/8 W&B Chopper, then that wins for me.

Depends what you want to do with it. For shaving I'll take the DD.

They aren't difficult in skills required - beyond honing a smiling blade, but take forever.
The entire rest of the world (except Glen) loves Sheffields. I'm an oddball here. Members that send them for honing say they like the edges, but they never feel right on my face. Deaf & Dumb. Most have very little or no audible or tactile feedback.
If you've never tried one, you owe it to yourself. They're unique, and most people love them.
