So a newbie got a new straight razor!
Finally my package of my two straight razors came today! So I thought, well let's try it, since I hadn't had a shave that morning.
The bad news first:
Yes a new razor, one Bergischer Löwe und one Dovo stainless steel are NOT sharp from the factory!
There ya go.
A being a guy, I tried the HHT (hair test thingy), failed, but decided to try it anyway...... :thinking:
Was not that bad, I could tell above my lips it was a bit painfull, more like really uncomfortable. So, what did think? Man this is better than sliced bread, not better than sex, but hey what is anyway, right? I can tell there is a lot to re-learn about the face and moves on it. But the control and the feel during and after is so cool.
What I am trying to say, is that to anyone thinking of doing the jump, grab your wallet, close your eyes and leap into it! You will not regrett it.
Only negative thing is, the money aspect, it ends up being a tad more expensive than you think, by the time you buy all the things you need. But go ahead and buy a nice new one you like, don't buy a used one IMHO. If you do it, do it!

equipent used Dovo 41 stainless, Mühle silver tip badger brush, Golddachs shaving soap lathered in a Mühle porcelain mug with handle (matching olive wood brush and razor). Now all resting in Dovos Z shaped holder, so I can stare at it, till it dries, lol.
