Its a crying shame....was going to be a very nice Dubl Duck Dwarf
So I got this really cheap on ebay and although it wasn't in the best condition it seemed worth restoring. I bought this nice Mother Of Pearl Celluloid used to restore old Les Paul guitars and made some nice looking scales. Well after a lot of sanding and polishing i had it all done and ready to hone, but I accidentally put a little scratch in in when I set one of my files down in the wrong spot. So here I was thinking it would take 2 seconds on with the buffing wheel and it would be good as new. I could not have been more wrong, the edge of the blade bought just a little bit and I thought it was ok but it turned out that it cracked the blade in two spots. Now they are both small cracks but I tried to hone it and I don't think I will ever get and even edge on it and I am scared to keep trying to hone it. Any suggestions?
