I usually place my name on my travel items. Not that I would expect to get them back if taken, I do it just to inspire guilt in the person who took them.

Never thought about it until I saw your thread. Hmmm, I guess it might be cool to have my initials somewhere on the tang if I ever get a custom.... Now that's food for thought!
If only I had a cool name like Birnando, now that razor looks seriously cool mate with the funky font and everything.... Doubt it would look as good with 'Ash' inscribed.....
Regards,
Ash
Yes, and I did.
I don't see an issue with it. Unless of course you're in the habit of flipping razors on a constant basis, then it could pose a problem. But if you intend to keep a particular razor for life why not initial it so it can be passed on to sons and grandsons and be a reminder of the old man? After all, these pieces of steel will still be around long after all of us are gone.
Coolest initials I've ever had was a Wade & Butcher with initials and 1864 scratched in the scales
Thanks for the input guys...maybe it's a good idea to do it properly and pass the razor down as family heirloom. So far I've yet to have a son....lucky for u guys who have...
