    Default Puma model numbers question

I am wondering if Puma put model numbers on the scales by the pivot pin? I am seeing 930 on my Puma's scale. If that is the model number about what year would it have been produced? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

I don't think the numbers molded to the inside of the scales would help, Bob. Just send the blade to ME!

Actually they are molded/impressed on the outside of the scale. I have seen that in the photos of Pumas in the library section here. I have done a search on the web and can't find too many 7/8 Pumas and none with a french tip. Mind you I am PC illiterate when it comes to doing a proper search. Tell you what though I am eager to get it fixed and shaving so I don't think it is going anywhere soon.

    Default Puma model numbers question

I have an original Puma booklet that says the numbers pressed into the scales by the pivot are a quality control number. Each razor went through a 26 step QC process before being stamped. If you had any issues with your razor you could quote those numbers to them for warranty etc. FYI The booklet is in PDF format over in the Puma razor club (the cathouse I believe?).

It's a Puma Control Number Year Code Chart for knives. But I hope, it's possible to find parallels.
