Default Feather Artist Club SS with wooden scales

Does anyone know where can I purchase Feather Artist Club SS with wooden scales?
People mentioned across the forum that they've got some with teak scales, but I can't find them for sale anywhere...

    Thanks in advance for help

Pretty sure I saw one on Straight Razor Designs. I've been looking @ the Feather's myself.

Sorry didn't read your post close enough. The one I saw was a DX and you were looking for SS. Can anyone explain the difference in the SS & the DX?

You will have to search ebay or the BST ads. I sold a AC DX w/ the faux ebony, and mine and the teak are discontinued since the new ss line has hit the U.S. market. The guy that bought mine said it was the only ebony handle he'd seen in a while. Just keep nosing around, they are bound to turn up.

Default Feather Artist Club SS with wooden scales

The DX is the first model razor, the SS is this years model and it is Stainless Steel. Both use the same blade, but as far as the shaving differences, I don't know. I owe the SS and like it! It is a very manubrible razor that feels and shave like a full steel straight. Double O

I've had one a while back, got it from a guy that has connections in Japan, it's not on the Feather company web site even so don't know where you can order one. Unfortunately he took a turn for the worst and shouldn't been ordered from (won't send razor and keeps money, btw not on this forum).

I since sold it to someone in the US. I've tried several of the SS razors (old model, new model folding and unfolding and the Teak one) and they don't shave as good (for me) as the DX models.

Do the DX & SS use the same blades? What is the difference in the models?

As previously stated, the SS is simply the 2012 model of the Artist Club series by Feather. They both should be made out of stainless steel. The only difference I've at least heard of is the fact that the point to where the blade comes down to is more rounded on the SS to be less aggressive on the skin. Look up the videos by 'Geofatboy' on Youtube since hes shaved with most of the Artist Club series razors.
